The clone troopers that served within Green Company adorned Phase I clone trooper armor, of which was painted with the green markings of the 41st Elite Corps. The company was led by Jedi Master and General Luminara Unduli, as well as Clone Commander CC-1004, otherwise known as "Gree." As a company within the Galactic Republic army, the unit consisted of four platoons.

While Ryloth was part of the Republic, its location in the Outer Rim meant that its people had a strong independent spirit and sometimes clashed with the galactic ruling body.
